Travel: Up to 50%
The Estimator is responsible for both cost management and estimating activities that support Prime’s data center construction portfolio. The role develops detailed budgets and bid packages during design, then safeguards those budgets in execution through change-order validation, and cost forecasting. Working closely with Construction Project Managers, Engineering, and Procurement, the Estimator ensures every project meets financial targets while supporting schedule and quality goals.

Working closely with Construction Project Managers, Engineering, and Procurement, the Estimator ensures every project meets financial targets while supporting schedule and quality goals.
Responsibilities:
- Leads cost management activities, including tracking budgets, forecasting spend, and preparing variance reports throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Reviews and validates change orders submitted by general contractors and vendors for scope alignment, pricing accuracy, and contractual compliance.
- Proactively reviews project plans and prepares cost estimates including labor, materials, and time requirements throughout the design stages
- Regularly analyzes project costs versus budget and communicates progress to senior leadership
- Identifies potential project deviations or roadblocks and works with senior leadership to initiate solutions
- Reviews RFP’s, GMP's, or other project documentation for customer specifications and contractual obligations
- Travels to construction sites to assess progress and prepares detailed reports for Executive review
- Manages the bid process by preparing bid packages and ensuring the appropriate submissions or proposals are completed accurately by all subcontractors
- Maintains key vendor relationships and negotiates construction prices for competitive bidding
- Supports Construction Project Managers with change order validation and management
- Travel up to 50%
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in an estimating or cost management role
- Proficient in contract administration and negotiation
- Understanding of financial analysis of project performance
- In depth knowledge of construction processes with critical facility construction experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel
